Hourly and daily weather forecast

A forecast becomes more informative when you follow the trend rather than a single number.

Compare consecutive hours, precipitation probability and amount, plus wind direction and speed. Uncertainty generally grows with the forecast horizon.

How to read the forecast in context

A forecast is most useful when its signals are read together. Start with the valid time and the trend across consecutive intervals, then compare the probability and expected amount of rain with wind speed and direction. No single number can describe the whole situation: look for persistence, timing shifts, and sudden changes. Confidence generally decreases farther into the future, and later updates may refine the outlook. If your plans depend on the weather, check again shortly before leaving, allow for local variation, and treat the forecast as guidance rather than a guarantee.

Forecasts describe likely scenarios and do not replace alerts or official authority communications.
